Welcome to GSO

Gahanna Parents to run Red Lights on October 2nd.

On Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 - Adults from all over Gahanna will be found running Red Lights at intersections all around town. Audacious yes, but no Gahanna Police Officer or City Official is going to write tickets for this event.

Instead they write checks (or give cash if they prefer!!!)

You see these intersections are being run by Gahanna Parents, family, and volunteers collecting donations for Special Olympics Ohio and to honor Gahanna’s Special Olympic athletes, coaches, and supporters.

Jeff & Monica Running Red Lights for GSO

Special Olympics Ohio provides year-round sports training and competition opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The organization serves over 23,000 Ohio athletes including the more than 70 athletes who compete locally as part of GSO.

"GSO competes year-round in 5 sports, and this year we even sent an athlete to the National Games in Lincoln, Nebraska. These are opportunities that simply wouldn’t be available without the generous support of people throughout Ohio and especially around Gahanna." according to Kathy Ritter, who Coaches Swimming and Track for GSO.

So October 2nd, Please STOP at every Red Light - and give what you can.

Every dollar you give turns into Gold, or Silver, or Bronze... You get the picture…
